Spring is just around the corner, and it\u2019s so easy to dread the idea of \u201cSpring cleaning!\u201d Thankfully, I\u2019ve got some tricks to get you looking forward to clearing out the clutter in time for Spring. Set yourself up for success this spring with spring organizing.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The biggest thing to focus on is WHY are you going to invest time in Spring cleaning? This answer is going to be different for everyone. Perhaps you\u2019re preparing for an extended vacation and you want to come home to clutter-free home. Or, maybe you\u2019re starting a new job and you want to feel on top of it when you start. Maybe you\u2019re getting ready to start a big project at home and you want less stuff to be in the way. Whatever your reason, keep that as your focus and take small steps to achieve it.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My suggestions are simple:<\/span><\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Start with one small space at a time<\/b>, instead of getting overwhelmed with the idea of tackling everything at once.<\/span><\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Celebrate<\/span><\/b> each success<\/b> you have along the way!<\/span><\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Continue focusing on your WHY<\/span><\/b> so you\u2019re motivated to keep going!<\/span><\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Make sure to define what it looks like when you\u2019re \u201cdone\u201d<\/b> with this project (i.e. Will you be \u201cdone\u201d when all of your papers are filed? Will you be \u201cdone\u201d when you can finally see the floor of your closet?) \u2013 Make it concrete and measurable! Put a deadline on it so you finish!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As you move forward with your project(s), make sure to ask for help when needed, and tell people your goals so they can help keep you accountable. I\u2019d love to hear from you about what your projects are and how you\u2019re planning to keep yourself motivated!<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
