If you are unsure about how long the project will take, using time increments helps you get started and work in measured units.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Use Quadrants<\/h3>\n<p>Think about dividing the space you are working in into quadrants of work.\u00a0 It could be floor space, left wall, center wall, and right wall.\u00a0\u00a0 It could be dividing the space into 4 quadrants entirely. Creating a physical delineation of what areas you are working on helps you see change. \u00a0 There&#8217;s <a title=\"Getting Organized Magazine Hula Hoop\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gettingorganizedmagazine.com\/2013\/12\/10\/hula-hoop-your-way\/\" target=\"_blank\">hoola hoop organizing<\/a>.\u00a0 Drop a hoola hoop on the floor and work on that area to eliminate and organize.\u00a0 As more space evolves,\u00a0 you are feeling more capable and less overwhelmed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Use Numbers<\/h3>\n<p>Flylady refers to her <a title=\"FlyLady 15 minutes a day.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flylady.net\/d\/getting-started\/flying-lessons\/decluttering-15-minutes\/\" target=\"_blank\">27 fling bogie.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 Flylady suggests eliminating 27 items a day.\u00a0\u00a0 White House Black Shutters recommends <a title=\"40 Bags in 40 Days\" href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouseblackshutters.com\/40-bags-in-40-days-2015\/\" target=\"_blank\">40 bags in 40 days.<\/a>\u00a0 Use numbers to help you break through your feeling of being overwhelmed.\u00a0 You can choose your own number, no matter how large or small.\u00a0 Whatever your numbers, use these wisely to make your project easy to accomplish.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0Work with a team<\/h3>\n<p>It\u2019s much easier to work together to achieve more. Make organizing manageable by adding a partner or triad of workers. Not only does having many hands help, you have lots of ideas to get your organizing done.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Whatever strategy you use, make organizing manageable in a way that fits your strengths and style.
