{"id":941,"date":"2010-07-24T21:06:54","date_gmt":"2010-07-24T15:06:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/professional-organizer.com\/WordPress\/?p=941"},"modified":"2010-07-24T21:06:54","modified_gmt":"2010-07-24T15:06:54","slug":"organizing-for-the-mom-entrepreneur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/professional-organizer.com\/WordPress\/organizing-for-the-mom-entrepreneur\/","title":{"rendered":"Organizing for the Mom Entrepreneur"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I \u00a0love learning what works for moms!\u00a0 In using twitter, I met the most organized entrepreneur mom ever, Melissa Lierman, @timeoutmom.\u00a0 She shared with me the most important technology tools she uses to keep her busy home organized.\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>My blackberry allows me to go to more kids activities because I can take the office with me.<\/li>\n<li>Online bill paying takes the stress out of finances.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Have \u00a0a dimmer switch in your bathroom for \u00a0bath time relaxation.<\/li>\n<li>Have a DVR so you \u00a0are not tied to regular television viewing.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0We just record our shows and watch\u00a0when we want.\u00a0\u00a0 We have 2 DVRs, one for the family and one for me!<\/li>\n<li>We have a slew of timers.\u00a0 We play beat the clock,\u00a0set the timer for 15 minutes and do crazy fast RTO = Restore the Order to the house.<\/li>\n<li>The computer makes great spreadsheets for chore charts, after school routines, and organize weekly &amp; monthly projects.<\/li>\n<li>My\u00a0 favorite non-tech item\u00a0is her end-all be-all giant family calendar &#8211; master calendar to organize everyone&#8217;s work and activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thanks Melissa for these great ideas!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>About Melissa<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0Melissa Lierman will be married to her wonderful husband John 14 years in November and is a busy mom of 3 great kids &#8211; smart and sharp 11 year old MacKenzie Peter, artistic and creative almost 9 year old Maria Stella, and powerhouse action-packed 2.5 year old Jonathan Roger.\u00a0She believes that the keys to success for a busy household are: lots of love, lots of patience, and lots of organization, and great communication.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>Melissa runs 3 businesses as a work at home mom. She travels once a a month speaking all across the United States and Canada teaching and training how to use Social Media and Twitter for Business.
